What’s the matter?
Bentley has just unveiled the third-generation Continental GT, one of the most iconic, luxurious and fastest Grand Tourrer coupes to date. Like previous models, the latest Continental GT combines the best of British craft with German engineering. This means the completely redesigned 6.0L TSI W12 engine, further developed by Volkswagen, and its amazing performance as required.
Under the long hood sits the same 6.0L TSI gasoline W12 as the previous Continental GT. But now, it has been updated to offer 626 horsepower and 664 pound-feet twist. Combined with the new eight-speed dual-clutch automatic, 0-60 mph accelerates in just 3.6 seconds at a top speed of 207 mph, making it the latest and best Bentley to join the club at 200 mph.
Power is the standard all-wheel drive, although the system in the latest car is completely new. The old car system worked with a power distribution of 40: 60% between the front and rear. Now the “all paws” system of the new car works mainly in rear-wheel drive mode, transmitting power to the front wheels only when it is necessary for additional traction, for example, in inclement weather. Bentley says the result is a more dynamic management experience and, ultimately, less understeer.
