What kind of strength is this?
Thanks to various teasers over the past four years, TVR has confirmed that power comes from the Ford Coyote V8, the same as the Mustang GT. Then he is sent to the famous tuning company Cosworth, which is messing around with the Ford V8 and equips it with a dry sump lubrication system.
The TVR has not yet confirmed any official power ratings, but they claim that Griffith and its 5.0-liter Ford V8, tuned by Cosworth, achieve a power-to-weight ratio of 400 hp. per ton. TVR says the Griffith weighs less than 1250 kg, or 2755 pounds, or 1.25 tons. Multiplying these 400 hp Griffith’s weight of 1.25 tons, get about 500 horsepower from the V8.
It is directed only to the rear wheels with a Tremec six-speed manual gearbox, rated for torque of up to 700 lb-ft at engine speeds of up to 7500 rpm.
As a result, according to the manufacturer, the speed is more than 200 miles per hour and the time 0-60 is less than four seconds.
