The 2018 Chevrolet Traverse follows in the footsteps of the GMC Acadia

The 2018 Chevrolet Traverse gets unveiled at the 2017 North American International Auto Show continuing the theme of a value-oriented GMC Acadia.

What’s going on?

The 2017 North American International Auto Show is in full swing and the debut of the new 2018 second-generation 2018-2019 Chevrolet Traverse is starting.

Like the Chevrolet Traverse, the new Traverse continues the recipe for a more value-oriented GMC Acadia. And it even looks like the Chevrolet Acadia version … because that’s what it is technically.

So what’s new with the 2018 Chevrolet Traverse?

Since 2018 Chevrolet Traverse is based on the latest GMC Acadia, its sheet metal is undergoing major repairs. As a result, the shapes and profiles of both crossovers are very similar. Bulky and bubble-like shapes are gone, which made the last Traverse look like a minivan without sliding doors. In its place is a boxing, more vertical design.

But, despite a complete upgrade, the new Chevrolet Traverse manages to largely maintain the same size.

With the new Chevrolet Traverse 2018, many new trim levels and appearance options have also appeared. For example, the new Traverse gets a “sporty” RS version, while the High Country model complements the lineup with a fully loaded luxury model.
