Not so long ago, I had the opportunity to test the newest and best Jaguar XJ to date.
Jaguar has been making XJ since the birth of planet Earth and has survived for many generations. And yet, despite the hectic history, XJ finally developed after Jaguar realized that this was not 1951.
Along with the revival of the famous American soil plate, this new XJ6 comes with the latest AJV6 from Jaguar-Land Rover with a 3.0 liter displacement and supercharger. This means that this XJ is the first XJ six-cylinder sedan since 1995, which was later discontinued and replaced with their first V8.
However, the result for this new mill is 340 hp. and 332 lb-ft of torque. Of course, this may be lower than the original 5.0L V8 with 380 hp. and 380 lb-ft. But there is one thing that does this: it is the lightest car in its class. It is even lighter than a V8 with a BMW 550i engine. And it is more.
Simply put, the Jaguar XJ is for those who love to drive rather than drive. Sorry Bimmer 7th series. Jaguar wins.
